West Edge Chalk Walk

Outdoors along University Street, between 2nd & Western Ave.
On Saturday, June 30th, all are invited to Downtown Seattle’s West Edge neighborhood for FREE stylistic sidewalk chalk art, live musical performances and other interactive art activities that appeal to both children and adults. The West Edge Chalk Walk will celebrate the arts in Downtown Seattle and the creative spirits of the neighborhood’s own merchants.

2007 Out to Lunch Concert Series – presented by
Starbucks & Safeco

Downtown workers, tourists, or a common passerby can look forward to some good chill-times for their casual lunch. The 2007 Out to Lunch Concert Series -- produced by the Downtown Seattle Association -- is gearing up for another sensational season of top acts that will play FREE throughout Downtown Seattle. Now in its 28th year, OTL will showcase 38 bands in eight weeks of themed performances.
In addition to the local flavor, 13 performances will feature some known and up-and-coming national acts ranging from Minnie Driver, famed movie and television actress from the popular FX network series The Riches, to Luke Doucet, who’s recorded and toured numerous times with Grammy-award winning songstress Sarah McLachlan.

Summer in the city means hip happenings at Rainier Square. So, what's up? Come up to the Rainier Square Roof Park for food, flicks and fun in Downtown Seattle's urban garden.

Rainier Square Tuesday Market – Shop weekly for fresh food and unique handmade goods sold by local vendors and farmers in an open air setting.

Rock Bottom Nights – Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery is serving up an extended rockin’ happy hour on the Roof with live music and plenty of great beer.

Thursday Movies on the Pedestal – FREE movie viewing under the starry nights and in the heart of downtown. Rainier Tower's unique pedestal doubles as a 20' movie screen. Blankets and chairs provided while supplies last. No outside alcoholic beverages. Movie starts 30 minutes after sunset on Thursday nights from July 12 – August 30 |
