Taking consideration of every Chinatown in America, USA Today named Seattle’s Chinatown-International District number four of the “10 best Chinatowns across the USA.” Rated according to quality of authentic dining options, size, cultural experiences available, and whether a visitor will feel like they’ve left the United States as they explore the neighborhood, Seattle ranked just below San Francisco, New York and Chicago.
The article notes Seattle’s Chinatown-ID as a diverse community of Chinese, Filipino, Japanese and Vietnamese with plenty of community and cultural attractions like Hing Hay Park and Wing Luke Museum. It is also commended for affordable and varied food choices like Uwajimaya supermarket, Mike’s Noodle House, Red Lantern restaurant and Yummy House Bakery.
