MOHAI – The Big Move is Complete, Grand Opening Set for Saturday

The history of Seattle and the Puget Sound region comes alive with stunning pieces and informative displays at MOHAI’s new home in Lake Union Park.

There’s so much to see, so much to learn and so much to experience at MOHAI (Museum of History and Industry) and there’s 50,000 square feet of exploration awaiting you on December 29, when this magical new home is open to the public.

Opening this new location has required the tireless work of some very talented people.  Here’s a time lapse video of part of this new space getting a stark makeover:

From the Rainier Beer sign and display, old sea plane, gifts from foreign lands, artifacts from Seattle’s beginning and works celebrating our diverse heritage and economic history, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at MOHAI.

Interactive displays and educational opportunities abound at MOHAI, learn all about it online and be sure to attend the grand opening on Saturday, Dec. 29.  Make a day of it, because there’s so much to see and so much to learn.
